Hi, I am Sonic Extreme and this is a tutorial on how to properly present your work on the internet.
From past experience, I have been presenting my work on the internet for about 3 to 4 years now. And, these are the couple common mistakes that people always make and I found this out the hard way so I thought I share with everyone outs so that hurdles does not have to go through like row molink.
And, basically when you start of, when you are doing work, do not jump heading go look? I am doing this, and have not anything show for. Otherwise, it would not take you seriously though this thing, Oh, it is an idea. You quitting like 2 weeks.
So, if you want to do something, create a logo. Create a name for yourself and actually get some work on first worth of work depending on what you are working on.
If it is a 2D game, get at least 3 levels done and get a couple of development videos done, put them online. It will get people to trust you and you will get people interested in the actual project that you are working on.
Secondly is, do not double post on your project. If you are in a forum and you need to post something, make sure that a team member posts and then you can post. Otherwise, people would get paid off and you constantly double, triple post in after awhile.
And, do not make videos with the same content over and over again and put them online. If you keep on using the same footage from the same video over and over again, people will get board on the same footage.
And, what else?
When you are releasing stuff to the public, do not be suede into releasing more than you want to. Only release quick, short demos because that will get more people interested and it will get more people coming back for more over and over again.
If you release big things in short periods between each other, then people wound not bother coming back because they think they have already got as much as they can get out of you.
