Welcome to a fishing knot instruction video from Videofishingknots.com. In this video I will show you how to tie a Double Blood knot also known as a Double Four Fold Blood Knot or just a blood knot. It is a very popular line to line connection and the way that you tie it is to start out by a lining. You have two lines and you give yourself little bit more lines to work with and then you grab it here by the middle. So basically this is your start point and then you take one of the tag ends and you wrap it around the other line as seven time.
So that was one two and three and four and five and six and seven times. So now you grabbed your the tag end and then you come back here to the middle and put it in between and you put it through the two lines just where the wraps are starting like that and then when you pull. Pull the tag end and you push the wraps here and the wraps will slide down to this point and when you do so you just grab everything like this with your thumb and your index finger and then you move on to the second part of the knot.
And there is the same thing I just repeat what you just did on the other side. So you grab the other tag end and you wrap it around the other line seven times, that's one, two, three, four, five, six and finally seven times like that then you grab the tag end and you come back here to the sender and you can sort of put it through, as same as before just and just before just open this first wrap a little bit and then you can put it through there and its important that it goes out on the opposite directions that the other tag end you can see that they come out in opposite directions and then again you gently pull the tag end here and the same time you will push the wraps with your thumb and your index finger like this.
And there you can see that I will have both halves or this knot in place and now you just gently push and pull. You pull the tag in and you pull the wraps on both parts of the knot and you pull the opps and you pull the two standing parts a little bit as well and just the knot and slowly you will form a perfect double blood knot or double four fold blood knot. Trim the tag ends and you are done. If you want to learn how to tie more fishing knots you are welcome to stop by our website. We have instructions for tying more than 70 different fishing knots.
