This is a good program to track you know how much time you have been wasting or how much you have been working, okay, so this one is an Applet. It is called Hamster and just go to your Package manager and search for Hamster Applet and that is pretty much it for that.
Now, since it’s an Applet, you have to add it like you know add to panel, all right. So add to panel and just click for Hamster which will say Time Tracker here and I just pull it up out and drop it up there right. That is pretty much it; all you go to do.
And you have this little thing here and that is how it’s going to look like. Now when you click on it, you have a display here and you have, you know, Add Current Activities or Show Overview.
Now the Show Overview is a; after you have like certain amount of activities that you have done right? So I have started like two days ago I think. So you can see that I have been tracking which one I have been doing the most which is basically doing nothing, okay. And I have study like two hours because I have finals this week but I watch a lot of movies too. So that is pretty much it.
Apparently I need to do less of doing nothing. So you can see they have a little chart and it can tell you which one you need to work on or improve on right. You can use this for this for like just about anything you want to do, maybe a workout session or whatever it is right? If you have this on laptops, it may be even better for you because you can carry it around and see how much work you are getting done or not work you are getting done, okay.
So that is that. And if you first time you start it, they will tell you to add activity. Now, the activity here is pretty much easy to add. Now, you can se that I have a few, right? Like I say, if I put Study right and there is this College next to it, what you are going to do is like type it like this, okay, study and then you put—it depends where you have but you want to put it as a the college as the category, you put it at and you put College, right? And that is pretty much it, you add it in or you want to type a description; that is it, right?
And you can—remember a Study in College, right? You see that the same thing you see that in a—what was that? A chart that we just did, the Overview chart, you can see that, you see College is in the category and the activity was Study, right? So that is pretty much of how you will set that up.
So that is it. I am starting to like this program. I do not how much I will use it but you can do sort of things like you know, workout sessions or study and all that or your lazy moan, your lazy hours or whatever. So that is a good program to, you know, track your time, that is it.
