How to track Your Family History on the Internet
Well one popular use up on the internet is Genealogy or Family Trees, trying to find out who your family is, your ancestors and things like that. I've come across an interesting website that makes it fairly easy to get up and going its called Gene.com.
You can see right up the front page there's all sorts of different things you start doing to start building that Family Tree. I'm going to go right to the tree process. I've actually started here. I've got my mom and dad up to the top, there’s me and my brother. If I want to, I can simply click on the arrow to add additional son or daughter from my parents side. I'm going to have my brother N think they're going to have brother Nels.
You can also add additional emails and stuff like that. And this is kind of the cool thing, once you start wanting to do here is actually inviting your family members to participate in those process which makes it a heck of a lot easier.
What I mean by that here, I’ll show you. I’ll go to the HOME and I can find my family. And from here and make a good point and especially with thing social networking sites like Facebook and also your address book, you can then find an Add Additional Family Members that way.
And the idea is that once they're added to this particular Family Tree, you can then get them starting to add the information that they know as well. You can see. We can also add things like photos and videos and events as you're going along. And after a while, that Family Tree starts getting quite large.
It's called Gene.com, a great way to start getting into the whole Genealogy thing and actually see where you’ve come from.
