Speaker: What does an orange cost in your city? Well, it's not that important really. What's important is how versatile, delicious, and useful the common orange is. I always wash mine before I use it to get the pesticides off.
I use the peel to make a very delicious drink. The experience is sort of euphoric, so be very careful it may become a very habit-forming for you. Nonetheless, it is very delicious and then I put the orange in refrigerator because I like the cold orange.
I boil the orange peel in about one-and-a-half cups of water for about five minutes. While it's boiling of course I'll usually find some things to do, listen to music, visit with my cat Teddy or my dog Abey or just do nothing.
By the way the drink itself is very pale, so you might want to do what food manufacturers do and add food coloring, if the paleness bothers you, it doesn't bother me. Then of course I use the orange peel to deodorize my disposals. So you see, nothing was wasted.
