Step one: Removing Casing and Battery

This video shows you how to dismantle the Microsoft Zune MP3 player. First things you need to do is remove the pair of plastic at the bottom of the Zune and to allow access to two small screws.

Of course these screws need to be removed.

Ones parts screws are removed grab a slice and run it along the sides of the Microsoft to unclip. The clips are holding it together.

Ones done, you should just split out easily pull it apart.

Ones the case of this removed and the next step is to remove the battery. This is how to emplace for small clip and for you, pull this up and then, you will be out it easily release the cord and then, take the battery out.

The next step is to remove the small ribbon. This is done exactly the same as the battery that we have all ready removed. Simply lift up and release.

Once done, there are four screws to remove.

Two at the top and two at the bottom.

Now, the screws are removed, you can carefully lift up the hard disk.

You need to remove the ribbon to do this, unclip the small black clip simply by lifting it up.

Ones released, you should be able to carefully pull out the hard disk ribbon.

The hard disk now is now removed.

Step three: Replacing the hard drive, www.RepairsUniverse.com
To remove the hard disk from the metal shell, simply pull back the black covering to reveal the hard disk and then simply remove.
