Hey everybody! I'm Dan Sindel.
Today I’ll show you how to upgrade your Peterson StroboRack Tuner and install the Pro Expander Module.
Now, what this module gets you is stereo-ins, stereo-outs in active DI and what's really cool about it is it enhances your routing capabilities inside your rack.
Which Rack Chassis
Do you Have?
This tutorial is based on
Chassis_B
(With groove indentation)
Chassis_B
Has a grooved indentation
USE CORRECT INSTRUCTION SHEET
Remove all Allen screws
On the back of chassis
Tools needed:
2.5 MM Allen wrench
Phillips- Head screwdriver
Flat- Head screwdriver
Remove rack ears
On both sides of chassis
PAY ATTENTION:
2 sizes of silver
Phillips-Head screws
Keep these screws separate from the
Other ones as it will be helpful when
Putting the tuner back together again.
Remember:
There are 2 sizes of screws, the larger
Size goes towards the front of the unit
Remove black
Phillips- Headscrews
From each side of chassis
Carefully remove top plate
From the chassis
Carefully pry both wire harness
Connectors from PC board
NOTE: Use Flat- Head
Screwdriver to loosen
Harness connectors
Remove 2 silver
Phillips- Head screws
(And any washers) from the
Standard VO PC board
Remove the
Standard VO PC board
From the rear the of chassis
Slip Pro VO PC board
Into the rear of chassis
Screw in the 3 silver
Phillips- Head screws
& toothed washers
To the Pro VO PC board
Important:
Make sure the toothed washer is
Properly aligned
Carefully attach both
Wire harness connectors
To the Pro VO PC board
Note the keying slots for
“Correct orientation”
Screw in the 5 Allen- Head
Screws holding the
Pro VO backplate
To the back of chassis
Slide the cover back on
Screw in the 3 Allen-Head
Screws holding the top
Plate to the back of chassis
Screw in the black
Phillips-Head screws
At each side of chassis
Screw in the rack ears
On both sides of chassis
PAY ATTENTION:
2 sizes of silver
Phillips- Head screws
Remember:
There are two sizes of screws, the larger
Size goes towards the front of the unit.
ALL DONE… Good Job!
