Hello youtube. This is TheBestCompHelp here and today I will be showing you how to use Google SketchUp. If you have seen the first video that I just put to how to download Google SketchUp and as you can see in the bottom right here, when you open Google SketchUp, it save us some time. So let’s go and start it.
So, well I am just going to make a simple house. It’s one of the features you can do and Google SketchUp, there is this—my next video will be about how to impress yourself, how to impress your friends with something I have figured around yesterday when I was sitting on it and playing on it. It’s a really cool feature if you want to trick your friends by telling them like, look what I made, make it but it’s a good trick.
So you are going to first start out with like a character right here. I do—I erased him. So what you want to do is take the Square tool to make like the main part of your house and then go from the origin to the—I want to make just a small house, right and then you’re going to take the Push and Pull tool, just this tool right here and then you’re going to like put on top of the square, going to pull it up. Now here is the main structure of your house.
Now, if you’ll want to make like a roof for your house that looks cool, besides just this plain roof. Then I want to use the Pencil tool and do and this really, you can’t like use a shortcut because if you’re going to use a shortcut, it’s going to get messed up so, what you want to do just EyeBall it to your—in the middle. Going to make right here and then you are going to take the middle, bring it to the end point and then, go take the other one, bring it to the end point. Make it only at the end point. It’s going to turn out like an envelope. As you can see, it turned out like an envelope but my envelope messed up.
Now, we’re going to take the Push and Pull Tool again. Then we’re going to push the backend first and then this. Then right there, I just push this one a little bit and it’s going to look kind of like this. See? And now you have nice, cool roof besides that playing all roof.
So now if you want to put some windows and take this Square tool again just make square. Make another square, as you can see here, I am really bad with squares. These two don’t look the same at all. Okay, so you see; not even. And we’re going to make a door for my little house, okay so you see the door here.
Now what you want is to make a Push and Pull Tool. Take the Push and Pull tool. Click on it and then you want to push in your windows. So give it like a cool 3D look. See how I had it pushed in? You just push them in, take the other one and now I pushed out. Push it in, take the other one here, just push it in. See?
So now when you look at it, is t should—oh it didn’t get pushed in. See? Oh we’re going to—now, it’s pushed in. All right so you see, here is simple house. It’s add a couple more windows. See, I’d like a Square tool again. Put a window right here, oops, big window. Sorry for the looping, I am using—I’m recording this really gets annoying sometimes. Sorry.
So then what you wan to do is just make a window like another window. All right, then just want to make it perfect. Now if you want, you can push it in I’m going use the Push and Pull tool again then you’re going to push it in and take the other tool, push it in
Oops—while you get the idea, I will push this last one in. So, here is our simple house. Now for the last thing I am going to show you today is, how to make it look a little bit better even though it’ simple, it’s still going to look good.
Now what you want hit on your keyboard is B, then a box should open up. So we’re just going for it to load. I’m using GIMP, so I am going to use this kind. This kind of, when you use like—it’s kind of Paint. Let’s see. Now we’re going to take it. Now you can see a paint bucket and what you wan to do is just click on the walls. Click on the things. So our house has been painted. See? And kind of like—looks weird I know but that’s just a simple house.
