Doug Jones: When you're taking dumbbells off a rack, rigorous of what type of exercise you're doing, whether it's dumbbell squat or a bicep curl, lateral raise, riddle fly. Make sure you take these off one at a time, so it's fine point, but it's an important one. If you take both dumbbells off together, especially if you use heavier weights. Basically, your lower backs taking in front of that motion, it's just like lifting a box with improper bio mechanics, you're going to put back in the position that's going to get injured.
So, I would like to put one hand under the dumbbell, take off one, stand up straight, and then take off the other. It's a lot more important when you're using a heavier weight, it makes a huge difference and just like that when you're setting it down, you're going to put the one down, and then place the other one down. So, use the other hand that kind of support your weight before you take one off and put one back.
