Kristy: So you want the look of wallpaper but you don’t want to have to pill it off one day
well Sandra from Pro like a pro.com is going to show us how to give a wall paper
look with paint. And you claimed this is easy right?
Sandra: Well this is easy also it’s a lot waterfront and you can this space like going to two
steps.
Kristy: Okay now we’ve already put on two coats of satin paint a latex paint because you
need to have a slick surface to work on.
Sandra: So initially with the glaze really quickly here we are using the pro like full glaze.
This is the color and we’re going to pour that right in there and we need to
actually work it in the five part glaze the one part color are really encourage
people to actually work on a sample board to make sure that you’re happy with
the color and you can hold it up and make sure which example what’s you want
and you know to figure what you want. Okay we’re ready to go so I’m taking the
glaze here and I’m going to roll it right on the wall and you want it actually have
an edge just like of like a sneak.
Kristy: You don’t want straight lying in there?
Sandra: Exactly, okay and then how you deal with the corners the roller can get in there so
we just take the glaze and push it right into the corner. Now we are going to use
our rags, these are 100% cotton rags it’s really important we don’t want to use
polyester and we are going to take the rags and we’re going to actually hit the
wall and to kind to create the spin in action it’s kind of twisting and turning and
were picking up the glaze and actually do a second pass and you will have to
maintain a wet edge. So we have wet edge here so what you do is taking next pass
and go right into your finish, okay and if you are working alone and you don’t
want to get to heady yourself and I would say this is a good amount of space to
cover it one time. If you working with two people which are really recommend
you could take the roller and continue.
Kristy: And how thing do you want to go, you want just want to have like a little bit of
coat down?
Sandra: Yeah little of the coat see I’ve seen the color underneath where just great and now
we are going to start we are going to pick out our rag and we have no rough lines
because we have a glaze and has that long open time.
Kristy: Alright now I could use some glaze before and let me tell you this stuff is so
good, it’s not tacking up at all, it’s easy to work with and I love it. We are going
to finish up this wall and you know what you could pretty much leave it like that
if you want to because it looks great but when we come back we’re going to be
putting up a tensile.
