How to Build your Own Computer- Tips: Part 1
We have a top five list for building a computer. These are tips that have submitted by the user name Fatal that is what he is known as at least from the chat room at live.pirillo.com. Pretty good solid list of tips and I am sure you are really leaving comments right now on how you go and what you choose to do when it comes to your own computers.
Number one; know where the shop, this is a very good one. Often times you can find many deals online rather than retail stores for computer parts and there are some places online that have got great deals for various computer components. If you are creating a budget for your computer, take in to a consideration that required components you need in order for that computer to run. For example, do not buy an extra fan that is going to cool down your system. If you do not really need it to run your computer instead, buy some RAM to increase the performance of the computer itself fair enough.
Now, there are people who are constantly typing new egg in the chat room, people apparently love new egg which is fine I also put it but right now I am retooling with another one at the chat room moderators Allan or SC4. We are retailing tagjag.com. So, if you like new egg that is cool but we are linking specifically to new egg discounts in coupons for certain searches. So, let us say you are searching for AMD or Intel or Antech, or whatever it happens to be. You can go to www.tagjag.com/Antech/amd/Intel/keyword and it will return the list of results that have the best prices but more importantly we are also looking for coupons and discounts for those brands as well. Or even if it is a computer fans you can look for that too and we will send you the best list at tagjag.com. So, it is fun to like the other size but we have done all the work for you.
Number two, save your money. Sometimes you do not need to buy everything for a new system. If your hard drive is running fine on your current computer do not grab and purchase a new hard drive. Often, you can find things such as hard drives and use it for your new system that you are going to build. The only thing you need to make sure is that it will work with your new system’s motherboard, interfaces are kind of important that way.
For example, if you do have a spare video card that you are willing to use for the new system make sure it is PCI or PCIE. And, I think that is a good impact of video card, PCI video cards. I have not seen a PCI in a while I think he may have meant a AGP possibly. I do not know I do not put words in anybody’s mouth but the point is well taken. I have recycled components many times; you know keyboards, mice, or even the innards on the computer hard drives they are great point to make. Sometimes a removable media of the CD drive, optical drive, floppy drive in some cases I have had PCI cards that expand the USB, and fire wire capabilities that I was able to swap in and out, we know as long as we had an extra PCI slot inside so a really good point.
Number three, cases, the case of the computer is what holds the components inside. That is your computer but what sits around the motherboard is the case, it is the chassis. You want to make sure you are going to have enough space to place everything inside. You may want to go usually mid towers are what you want if you are going to build a regular computer I do not know how you define regular but you want to go to the bigger size a mid tower if you are going to use raid or add more hard drives for the extra space. He recommends buying the case first, so when a case of a motherboard would not fit you can possibly return the motherboard and get a new one. Very, very important, in fact I bet there had been times you have opened up a computer case and talk to yourself “How the heck did they cram everything in there, I cannot even get in there”. It is nice to be able to maneuver in and out, you know that is another thing you got to keep in mind and I do not know if he has mentioned this but I am going to throw it in here too. He may get to it in a second. Well, actually I am going to hold off from tip, I will add it to his number five.
