Alright, the last condition that we are going to work on is the triangle choke and there are many ways to settle down, we are going to go over couple of them. We are going to go over first, how to set it up just properly and second, how to set it up off the armbar alright. So first, we are here, to get the triangle choke one of the keys is I have to have my leg over one of his arms on either side that I am attacking, alright. So assuming that I am going to attack this side, just like with the armbar, remember how we put our foot on his hips to turn him? Well, we are going to do that same thing. We are going to have that 90 degree angle again to triangle choke.
So what I am going to do is I am going to open my guard, go here, push his arm down. I like to just hit his wrist to his chest. When I do that this foot which is right here, okay holding his head, this is key, if I don't hold his head he is going to back up. Holding his head, I will reach up as high as I can. I will bring my knee above his head and then dropping it, all the way across his shoulder width and when we get on here is I can't reach it, this is doing no good. I am going to turn myself as much as I need to drop my leg across there, just like we are going to try armbar that side, pull that arm across. This is going to go at the back of my knee alright.
So I reach up, again as high as I can and then point my toes toward the floor, pull his head down to get your choke. On the other side I push that and I reach up and over. This leg goes up and then points toward the floor. Push the arm across, I have got to have this arm across, alright. The arm is across his body, I am now going to be able to get my legs together. I have got to push this across, I am going to pull his head and pull my knees toward me and get the choke, alright.
One of the common ways that you will get this is when somebody goes to the single under pass. We are going to go over the pass in just one second, but assuming your opponent goes to break your guard open and then he goes to underhook. He gets this arm under immediately. Alright, my foot goes on his hip, I hold his head, I reach up and over, drag down across, lock down the triangle. On the other side, he reaches under the pass, my foot goes here, up and over, not down here, up and across his shoulders. If you need to, grab your own leg, hold it there.
Point your toes down, pull his head down. On different angle, we are here, he goes to the under pass, this foot goes on the hip, up and over, notice that our bodies are at 90 degree angle. I can't do this in the front, my legs aren't long enough. I push over to the side, drag his arm across, reach up and over. Be really, really careful when trying this. Your partner will go to sleep really quickly. On the other side he goes to under hook, foot immediately goes on his hip.
Reach up and over when I turn him over with my leg, I have got the tap. The last way that we are going to talk about setting up the triangle choke is when we go through the armbar, alright. We just set at the armbar, I have gone for it, I get to right here, my opponent feels me, close this arm out, now what so I do? I don't have that arm anymore. Well, immediately, I just like to head, I swing my leg back around. This foot goes back to this hip to turn me the other way and I go for the triangle, alright. So the other side, I go through armbar, we are here, I get the armbar, he pulls the arm out. Immediately, I have to swing this leg around and grab, this foot goes right here. It is what I am going to use to push off.
I push all the way around, holding his arm across my body reach up as high as I can and then down, get into triangle choke, alright. In this angle, I have set up the armbar, I have got the armbar set up, he pulls it out, immediately swinging, flip that in the hip, I turn I get the choke. The other side, I have set up the armbar, he pulls it out. Immediately, I swing the leg over, hooking it. I like to pull down with his leg so he can't get away from me. This foot goes in the hip, I bring the arm with me, reach up and over. I have got a triangle choke.
