Jimmy Ruska: Hey guys! I am at hearing loss test and flash if you type “jimmyr hearing” and search on Google, you can find my page. It's http://www.jimmyr.com/blog/hearingloss.html; it's in the video description too if you are watching this on YouTube, but anyway, it's very simple to use. You click the frequency and see if you can hear it and then you stop the sound. I recommend lowering your volume a little bit as it might be a little uncomfortable there, really high-pitch sounds. So, as we age, our ability to hear the higher frequencies on the right side of the table diminishes. Most kids and teens will be able to hear at least half of these frequencies. I am 21, and I can only hear 17000; supposedly, if you listen to the iPod a lot or blaring music and stuff like that, your ability to hear higher pitches diminishes with age. So, if you can hear 17000, your parents might not be able to or if your parents maybe, you can't hear 16000 and your kids will be able to. So, I recommend comparing it with your friends. Call up your friends and see if they can hear whichever frequencies. Again, you should try headphones and other types of speakers if you have them, just to check out if it might be a limitation of the speaker's ability to play that tone. If you guys could post a comment on the highest frequency you could hear, that would be great. So we can get kind of an average of what people can hear. Also, post your age, only if you are comfortable. If not, just the frequency. I look forward to hearing your comments. Thanks for listening.
