Now, the whole idea of this and I did the best thing to do is to get an identical track. Alright now, an easy way of doing that, is banging a CD into PC, burning a copy, alright and then having 2 identical tracks. One at that side, one at that side. Now we need is start them off exactly the same time. That will stop them off. Now, what will happen is this, now, if you think about it, if you got exactly the same track, okay, and you have got right CDJ, right speaker, left CDJ, left speaker, what is happening is you would not be able to distinguish a lot easier when the beats go off because you will actually hear an echo.
Like so, now then, this is what you need to hear and this is what you need to try and listen for. What you will find is as you get the main beat, they will join in the middle, in the middle of your head. Alright, now that sounds really bizarre but they actually will, they will actually join in the center because what you are doing, because you got your right hand turntable on the right side, left on the left side, theoretically, you are playing one song. If we think about it, and the songs got to meet in the middle.
Now then, I will give you demonstration but the difference is, I am using different songs, okay? You can do it this way but it is better to get the same song. Because what will happen is now, we are now phasing, or what will happen, we will get a nice join almost in the center of your head and you are actually will hear the beats always in front of you, come together. Now, that sounds bizarre but you are actually, it is a, you got a sound here and it is (demo)
In the center as supposed to (demo). That is what you do not want, (demo), do not forget, with this idea, you do not need headphones, right.
So what we will do, I got this setup, now I am going to start at the same time and then with the same beat but I am going to let them go off beat. I am going to make them go off beat and then I am going to try and bring them back in. The sound thing is of course, you cannot hear the stereo sound, you can only hear that when you do that at home. But hopefully, it will give you general idea so off we go.
(Demo)
The left hand side is that one and the right hand side is that one.
Okay, now what I am going to do now, I am going to get it off beat. So what I am going to do, I will try and get that one back in beat. So I am going to move the head and move forward.
Do not expect to get this first time, it take a lot of practice but that is the whole idea.
Okay, right, I am going to start the both again and we will see what happens so, (demo)
Okay, right, so basically, like I said earlier, you balance control, okay, right side, right side, left side, left side, no headphones, now get to try and use exactly the same song. So, if you have one copy, bang it in your PC and burn the copy. If you paid for the particular piece of music, then you will legally entitled to make the backup so, you are legally entitled to have a copy for yourself, so there is no problems there. Bang the both in and then work on that bass like I showed you, okay.
Now for goodness sake, do not expect to get in beat straight away because i9f you are new to DJing, you know, it might not happen, alright. You have got to realize that this is a difficult thing to do for some people. For some people, it is easy, for a lot of people, it is just takes a bit of time, okay, it is all about, the one thing I like to say and it is practice and enjoy. Thanks for watching and once again, Jonathan on board, see you soon, cheers.
