Hi, I am Jenny from Garden Angels and I am here to talk to you about having a pond and a little waterfall in your yard.
You start by digging a hole, deep enough, so that it is below the frost line in your area if you want to have fish that are alive in it. You need to create a space in a couple levels for putting plants in that are that are flat, so the plants can sit in containers.
And then line the hole with a rubber material—you can buy from your pond and garden centers or using actually rubber roofing material, anything that will hold the water. The material needs to overlap the ground at the top of the hole far enough and deep enough for you to lay stones around it, to stabilize it where you stand near it.
And naturally with the sound of the waterfall that you can create from a pump, to bring the water out of the pond and through a tube and up over a stone letting gravities have it spilled down into your pond and recycling, you can create the sound of a waterfall and the look of a waterfall with just little bit of energy from a solar or electric pump. And you can also attract local and native frogs and fill it with fish and water plants to make it really nice water feature in your yard.
