Mikey: Hey! I am Mikey. This is my store in Mikey’s Hook up in Williamsburg Brooklyn specializing in Apple computers, authorized apple repairs.

Purchasing a DVD player, you can get away with spending $50.00 on a DVD player or $200.00 on a DVD player. If you have a brand new HDTV, I recommend buying a DVD player that has what is called up conversion which up converts your DVD which normally sends out a signal 480 lines of resolution. You can output up to 1080 lines of resolution making your picture clear.
There are so many different DVD players out there and they all pretty much do the same thing. They all play blank CD’s if you want to burn your own music. They all play regular DVD’s. Not all them play what is called DVD audio which is kind of a dying format but I personally love DVD audio. Some of them are still producing albums and surround some DVD audio.
If you ever come across the prone where you made a home movie on your computer and burn it to a DVD and your DVD player does not play it, it is probably because your DVD player was made before blank DVD’s came out.
So, if you have that problem, go out and buy any $50.00 to $100.00 DVD player and it will play that home made DVD that you made just fine.
