How to Buy a Portable DVD Player
Music Playing
Hello, my name is Michael Fallert. I am the general manager of the Sound Shop in Colorado Springs and I am here today to talk to you about your choices in portable DVD players.
Okay, the most noticeable differences in portable DVDs are some look like notebook computer, some look round like pancakes. The biggest difference you are going to notice really is just in resolution. The lesser ones are 480x234 resolutions and the better ones are 800x480. There are a lot of players and not a lot of choices. They all do about the same thing which you really want to look first one it is built well. There are a lot of entry levels ones. You get what you paid for if you go buy a $99.00 portable DVD player you are going to get a $99.00 portable DVD player. Is going to break or it is not going to last long
Sure to that the only other option you might have with it is you might look for one that is good enough to take home and plug in to your home theater system. Forget that you are not going to find one of that caliber they are designed to be exactly what they are and that is a portable display device that lets you pop the movie in and watch it when your driving to Florida.
Go buy one that in your budget and just spend a few bucks more you are going to get a little better of a player. Other than that there is no options. So the batteries over blow up, I had never heard of a battery blowing up. I have heard that some of the cheaper one and I will not say brands because that is rude but on some of the more entry level ones the batteries would not even hold to charge long enough to watch a two hour movie. Of course you are going to get a better lithium battery probably on a unit that it is $1.99 and that you have another reason to go up a few steps and not buy that $99.00. Finding the best bargain is not always the right answer.
That is it for portable DVD players. Have a nice day.
