How to Choose a Card
Hello, this is Steve with More Mobile Internet. Today I am going to help solve one of the most common problems people have, what card should I get. Well, let us look at this laptop for example. This one has what it looks like is PC slot so let us try and put in this PC MCIA card and oops. You know what it only goes about half way. That tells me that it is not a PC slot. It must be an express slot which is about half as wide and what that means it is just in the bottom of the slot here, it narrows down to the size of an express card and there you go. And that is really the beauty of the express card, is that it will stay inside your laptop and you can use or leave it there and forget about it.
The other card is very popular however, is the USB card. Now, this card is a favorite because it works in every computer, desktop, laptop you name it. So that one will go right here, so really it is a decision on how you are going to use it what you are going to use it with, are you going to use it with a particular router in addition to your laptop. So the first thing is determining what kind of slot you have and then that will narrow your choices.
