Another team drill for defense is to run in place. This is a very short drill time wise but it helps to built conditioning and a little mental toughness. We also work on quick step footwork which we are going to demonstrate right now. Go to defensive position team, on the whistle run in place, I point to the left, you are going turn, jump back to the front, point to the right, you will turn that way, jump back to the front. Let us take a look.

Stay low keep your hands out, good. You never want to do this drill really for more than 60 seconds, the work is very hard but after that it will be difficult form to maintain some intensity with it.
