Listen to your oral surgeon, sorry to shout, but this incredibly important. His or her advice trumps, all these other tips. He or she will have much more experience than this particular person, Tim does on these manners. For instance, he may have you icing at different intervals or forming a clot differently etcetera. It's important that you file all the advise and directions, given by an oral surgeon exactly. Failure to do so, can result in the talking longer to heal or worse. Ask your oral surgeon for list of instructions and bring a legal pad and pen to the surgery, that way you can write all the instructions -- he might be giving you documentation, if they didn't, then you can write it down.
You don't want to do that the day of the surgery, because you maybe hopped up, I should say on Valium or some other kind of painkiller. You also can't drive, so make sure you've arranged to have someone to take you back and forth from the appointment, but I think top of this number one. If you've got wisdom teeth, even if they are not bothering you today. I know I am not -- hey, I am not an expert and if the dentist or the whoever the surgeon says, you don't need to get them pulled -- I would say, just get it looked at, because the last thing you want to have happen is something bad.
I am very glad that my wisdom teeth are pulled, in fact, at a recent trip to the dentist, it was recommended that I get braces. 34 years old, and he is asking me to get braces. I don't know if they are on vogue for what, but I think I am going to deal with getting a mouth guard. So at night I don't grind my teeth as I tend to do, when I am stressed out or sleeping. It's important, remember we've talked a great Burch about this stuff. We were showing up the persona care and then the oral trail, the toothbrushes, taking care of your mouth is important. You don't want to be a yuk mouth, because you don't brush. Flossing is also important although I never do it, yeah.
So anyways, there are some tips for dealing with getting your wisdom teeth pulled, good suggestions. I'll be interested if anybody else has got any other tips for dealing with pain. How do you deal with pain effectively, good tips, not the obvious ones. Obviously painkillers given, you know we're geeks around here, but we do have to deal with health issues. That's why I like asking for health tips, if you got them to pass along. This is a good thing to talk about, especially if you've been dreading it. It is now that they've told you and you haven't done it, that's your problem. Don't come to the chat room and say, oh my tooth hurts, my tooth hurts, oh! You can go and get it checked out, if it hurts.
You know people don't like the dentist at all, and I guess that out of all the professions in the world, the dentist have the highest rate of suicide. I live in Seattle, and I guess we have the highest rate of suicide in the entire country. So being a dentist in Seattle, has got to be one of the world's worst jobs. I am surprised they haven't done one of those on dirty jobs yet, although it's not really a dirty job. Well, depending on the mouth they are diving into. I have seen some pretty dirty mouths just from the outside. You are welcome to join us, we're typically talking tech in the chat room, every once in a while we venture into other topics, like tonight.
