It may work, but not likely due to pressure difference. More likely the chemical change in the air causes a difference in surface tension, or inhibits evaporation (or aids it?) in some other way. It may be that aiding evaporation (lowering pressure or raising temp) is better than inhibitting evaporation (the moisture stays in the air instead of on your lenses)
