This is Ren Stern again, the famous cage, and I am going to teach you how to do the behind-the-back pass.
When you cannot get the pass through from past the defender, you can pass it behind your back to get to your defender. All right, I am going to demonstrate with Jason Williams is right here. [Demonstration]
Imagine that there is a defender right here but I cannot get the pass through like this, so I pass it behind my back for the easy lane. [Demonstration] It should be easy. All right, I am going to demonstrate to you again. You can come from the left side, too. You are looking like you are going this way and then before you know it, it is at the other man and he gets the easy lane.
You are looking. You are pointing that way, so the defender thinks that you are going to pass it over there. Once he thinks you are going to pass over there, you get the passing to the other man for the easy lane.
