Hi, this is the trick for coin through card. I decided to make this video because everybody thinks that when you do this trick, they think that they simply take the coin and they just hide it under, like that. When it is like that, they think just hide it under. Well, I do not know if that is how they do it but I got my own way of doing this. It might be “The Way” but this one you can actually take the cards and can actually turn them that way, like that, see? And it will still work.
This is how you do it. I am going to show it to you first and I will tell you how to do it. Shuffle the first card pretty normal and then you show them the second card. Now we take the first card and we are going to put it on a cu. We will take the next card and put on a cup. We take our coin and what we are going to do is we are going to push it right through the card. Watch—one, two—and it goes right through, just like that.
So now, how this is done. First, get the two cards. The next thing you need is on one card, you need to have double stick tape on the back. I am not sure if you can see that but it is right there. It is not moving. It is in here. Turn the back of that card. Now, what you do is you always have one coin in basic palm position, probably like that, so you are free to pick up cards and stuff. You must show the card with the tape on it first. You show it pretty quickly. What we are going to do is when you are showing them the other card, you are going to pull that coin in a palm position, you will leave one coin on a table, then you pull that coin in a palm position and stick it on the back. While you are showing them this card, you are multi tasking. You are sticking that one on the back.
Do not use it with heavier coins if you do it without tape or something, and you try to hit it off and it is not going to come off. It is pretty embarrassing, I have done it before. So do not use a heavy quarter or half dollar for that. Stay on the back of that without showing them.
Now, what do we do? Slip the coin at the back and you are going to put the card on it, like this. Do not go like this or you will flash it. Show them the front and put it down. Do not hit one those because they will hear the sound, and then you put the other card on top.
Now you can do one or two things. You can do what I just did, which is coin through card, which is where you take the coin when you hit the card. You make it seem as if it went through, see that? It goes up, or you can do a discussion. You are, “Yes, I laid a quarter at lunch and this put my coins over your card” and just go 1, 2, 3 and it goes right through.
Or you can do the push-through method. Always put more pressure when you are pushing it through. Not enough pressure is always bad. You do not want to go 1, 2, 3, and it does not work. So, always have more pressure, all right?
Then, what you tell them once the coin has come through in the cup, and once you have this coin like this, you put it back in palm position. You tell them to take the glass and examine it, pull it up. While they are examining it, that gives you plenty of time to pop out the coin.
