I recently found a very cool message using a few house hold items to make a Homemade Metal Detector. There is how to do it. All you need for this project is an AM Radio some tape and a calculator. Begin by turning the AM Radio to listen to the high end of the AM band but the not the block other broadcast station. That adjusts the vibe to the maximum level so you can clearly hear the static. Now, let us put the radio on a calculator to turn, positioning the radio closer to the calculator until you hear a loud tone. Once this position is found tape the calculator and the radio together while maintaining the placement. Put enough tape to make sure it would not fall apart in the future. When you done taping it together make sure that is nice and sturdy, now let us test it out. Turn your radio on and try to make out on any type of metal. You would notice that the calculated beep whenever you get close to the metal it beeps even fast the closer you get to the metal.
The reason this works is because a loud tone coming from the radio is to calculate its electronic circuit board producing a radio frequency signal. That being said, the radio waves from the calculator reflects of the spoon and have in an AM radio.
There you have it, a cheap and easy homemade metal detector.
