You are going to do a G chord. I call this the Eagle’s chord. It is the chord that they play on the Greenday song “Time of your life”. Beautiful chord, it goes.
(Music playing)
Once again, you are going to be changing strings with your fingers. Watch this, middle finger on the 2nd string, thumb on the 6th, index on the 3rd, thumb on the 4th and then it comes up to the 1st string, thumb on the 6th, index on the 2nd, thumb on the 4th. Then, you move up to a bar chord D minor up here at the 5th fret and you go the same thing.
(Music playing)
Again, a little slower.
(Music playing)
Once more.
(Music playing)
And then back to A minor and you are going to do the same like that you did earlier.
(Music playing)
And here comes that G.
(Music playing)
D minor.
(Music playing)
And you hit an E chord.
(Music playing)
And do not be afraid to kind of let the E chord hang there for dramatic effect and then you go back to the beginning of the song.
You are going to repeat the whole thing. When you get the second time through, when you get to the D minor chord up here at the 5th fret.
(Music playing)
You are going to an E7 as your coda and you are going to go.
(Music playing)
Once again, now this time you are moving down, middle finger on the 1st string, thumb on the 6th, squeeze.
(Music playing)
Index on the 2nd, thumb on the 3rd, middle moves down to the 2nd string, thumb on the 6th, index on the 3rd, thumb on the 4th.
(Music playing)
And you give an A minor.
Well, that is about it for now. I want to remind you that every thing that you have seen on the DVD can be downloaded as far as the tablature goes at www.iconsofrock.com.
And I am going to end now with a tune that is on a CD that is available at my website, www.gregdouglass.com.
