It is an air gun.
Basically there are two kinds of guns. One that actually looks like a gun and has a pistol grip there, the other one looks like this. This one I like for delivering large amounts of helium all at once. This one is better for fine tool work. So, both these guns work the same way with air pressure that will be delivered from the balloons, whether it is air or helium, it is up to you.
When you buy these kits that are really cheap at Wal-Mart in the automotive section or another store, I got all these at Wal-Mart today. You have little quarter inch snap connectors. One end will be screwed into the back of the gun. Then you have center piece which is a sleeve that snaps onto the gun. This would be connected to the high pressure air hose that you use in garages, repairing cars.
But what I do, is put a balloon on the end there and then I use a twisty type to fasten it down tight. We use to get air in there. Well, when you get your balloon on, like that. You could always if you want to fill this up just with plain air as long as you open up that valve by squeezing the trigger, you could blow in the front and let go so the air would escape. But I prefer to do this. I put together a unique little tool. I have another end of the snap connector here with a blow tube so I could hook that on. Blow it up fast. That is another good way to go.
Kits come with different nozzles and attachments. One of my favorite attachments is a long tube goes on in front here. Now I also like to attach hoses on them. I think that they hold on to the solution better and certainly it saves on wear and tear on the metal parts. This helium tank I shop around shop around for, of course I found it cheap at Wal-Mart, it was about 19 bucks. And it is enough to fill, I do not know, 30 balloons or so. Certainly it is enough to get you started and certainly it is enough to make you ‘no’ if you want to go out invest 150 bucks to get a real tank.
But here I got a little gizmo. Let us charge this one up. But there is more. I took a little piece of foil attach to piece of fishing line with tape at the bottom—a little sign or something, a little piece of paper hanging there at the end. If this is wetted on top, it makes a nice little pad, a flat form and which I could build a helium bubble. Eiffel cluster this to do this with hydrogen, a little bit more dangerous than helium, he put a star on his, sort of like a shooting star deal. I think that is nice. So we fill her up and away it goes and down it comes. Ready to go again, let her go, that is a good one. That is neutrally buoyant.
