Rob: What is up? Rob and Corinne here, welcome to Thread Heads. The show where all DIY fashion dreams come true.
Corinne: Recently, we got this video requesting in form one of our loyal viewers Aaron.
Aaron: Rob and Corinne, here is my challenge for you. For the last two years, I am going to be serving a mission flight church. I am going to be in Honduras. You see, probably where the guys with the white shirts ties, the black name tags. Now here is the deal. Like I said, I can only work ties for the next two years. Now they have the ties that I can wear this, so they have to be conservatively looking and we cannot even have logos on. But no one does not said that they cannot be twirl awesome. So what is the DIY tie did I can make?
Rob: Well Aaron, there are definitely a few things you can do with those ties. here are a couple of ideas. You can screen print on your ties, maybe with something like “Jesus is my home boy” or “I found Jesus on the Tortia.
Corinne: You can grab a whole puncher and make yourself up “holey tie”.
Rob: Then there is our favorite tie recon, the Franken Tie. Here is what you do. First you grab yourself three ties, preferably a couple of different sizes. Now lay your ties on top of one another from largest to smallest and make sure all three ties are lined perfectly on each side. Now, cut the ends of your first two ties leaving a couple of extra inches on each. Next, you are going to pin the three tie pieces together. Without the strings of pair and thread with or without would be cool, so we spooled it up and got it sewing.
One all of your tie pieces are sewn together, measure the extra length of your two tie pieces and subtract it from the opposite end of your tie. This will bring it back down to its appropriate line. All you got to do now is just cut it into a point and sew the ends. Just cut out your extra fabric and you got yourself a new tie. We also found the super cool A-symmetrical tie by Gilbert Cruz or Brent1000.com. This tie looks also be pretty easy to make.
Corinne: But if you’re feeling super crafty and want to make your own ties from scratch? Head over the askcandyaboutclothes.com or sendover.com for some great tie patterns.
Rob: And remember, we are having DIY challenges or a request or something you would like to see in the show, make a video and send it to us at ThreadBanger.com.
Corinne: When we return, more from our amazing viewers.
