We are going to talk a little bit about foul shots. First of all, we are going to put our right for about three inches, or right toe about three inches in front of our left toe. Now that might sound inconsistent because when we were shooting we talked about having the left foot forward.
But if you think about it, you carry it one-step further as you shoot the ball, and you step just before you release it your right foot is in fact in this position about thee inches in front of your left foot.
So obviously, when you get a foul shot that is the first place you want to start. You want to start with that right foot slightly in front of your left foot, right here. Now obviously, you have the same grip that we have talked about. The same right hand and set left to in grip.
So the only thing we have to do now is make sure we do a good job of taking the basketball through our face and then following throw. So I get fouled, start with the feet. Good grip, face, follow throw. Feet are set, good grip, face, follow throw.
