Alright here we go. Today for this outlet we are going to need a little instrument like this you can get at any local hardware store. You just press down on this, (beeping sound) and it is an indicator. I is going to show you where the electricity is live and where it is not. For instance, this particular duplex that we know is not working but we still don’t know if there is electricity going through this so here we go. (Beeping sound) That is a good sign. When this is not staying on, that is what you want to look for. I am going to go over here because I know this one is live so I want you to know what the sound is that you are looking for. Stick it right in here, (beeping sound) that is live. Alright, so we know this one is live, that one is dead, we know this one is not working, so what we are going to do is replace it and we are going to show you how. Now we have discovered this and electricity is turned off, we have no power here, we are going to go ahead and just remove this plug. Just one screw, too easy, just pop it like this and most of the time, around this place, people are paying – you just don’t want to use the edge of your screwdriver, just kind of run it a little, or scrape it a little, that is all. Alright guys, this outlet right here is just held together with two screws. One here and one here, take them out. Alright now, we have got these two screws out, this thing is just dangling out, you just want to pull it out just like that. Now, that we got this outlet free from the wall, you want to just kick it to the right, don’t be shy, just bend those wires, come up with your new duplex, stick it out to it and match it up and look what is going on here. Now, what do we see? Ground wire, which is the green screw, silver top screw, white wire, which is your neutral. We are going to hook it up just like this and then we will come right back. Alright here we go. Now that we have just wired this in, just like I showed you a minute ago, you just kind of basically want to just turn it to the side now. All your neutrals are hooked up, your ground wire. Now we have just got the two positive wires now and go here to the brass screws. So let us go ahead and do that. Right now, this last wire here, the positive, I am just going to loop around here. It can be a little bit difficult, but you just want to loop it just like that, right there, try to connect it just like that and then you want to just tighten that bad boy down just like that. Alright and in a second we are going to put this in the wall. You just king of want to move your wires as best as you can. All right everything is connected, look back there, things are all good to go. You just want to move it in there, just press it in your holes, get started, just put your screwdriver up here, there is a hole on the back. Just kind of get one started a little bit, align through the other one. You can use a little elbow grease but you can do it. All right, now that we have got all that installed, let us go ahead and put the plate on it. There is just one screw, it is really nothing. Go ahead and start it, flat hand most likely. All right here we go. If you hit it right and you were listening and you watched, it is too easy. Now that we are done with the project, let us go ahead and test it and make sure we have got electricity. Put it in the slot, (beeping sound) that is what you want right there. Too easy.
