Francisco Bujan: Hi, this is Francisco Bujan from vitalcoaching.com, and we are talking about answering certain questions that I received on the videos, on my channel. The question that I receive for this one, for this video is, I want to totally enjoy my life.
Okay, this is very common situation in life. You think or you feel that your level of enjoyment in life is at a certain level. You are enjoying life a lot, but you would like to even stretch that, you would like to be even happier, and even more excited about what you do life. So what do you do about that? Imagine that you are still in university, still training, or you already had a jump, what can you do, you need to increase your level of life satisfaction in general.
So my advice is very simple. Here is a simple technique or strategy that you can start applying straight away. Focus on what thrills you first. When you wake up in the morning, you usually have a set of possibilities of things to do in the day; whether you are going to do work or function within a certain given structure, or whether you have a free day, you can focus on what thrills you first. That's the first step, that's the first priority that you can give to your life, it is to realize that, I don't want to focus on what is boring. I don't want to feel like I do things because I have to or because I decided to because somebody is expecting me to do that. You can focus on things, you can focus on the things that really thrill you, that are exciting.
So this is another strategy that you can start applying straight away. When you wake up in the morning, maybe make a quick list; maybe five points or directions you can give to your day, and then focus on what you are excited about, not what you are not excited about. There is too much pressure from society sometimes, too much discipline within to do things because we are supposed to, not because we are excited to do them.
So when you do things simply because its part of your discipline and there is no thrill about it, then obviously your mind or part of your emotion doesn't really participate in the process. It gives up, it says, hey, I am on strike here, you are not listening to me, I want you to listen to my excitement, to my emotions, to my desires. Once you start listening to yourself and realize that, okay, I have to feed that part of my being, I have to feed that part of my emotions and actually give myself pleasure, enjoyment, then things start changing, because you see that there is a participation of your whole emotional being.
So I hope all that makes sense. It's a very simple trick to apply, and it can radically shape the way you approach your life and your day. So that's my advice.
Let me think if there is something else I have to say about that, I want to totally enjoy my life. There is another element, yes, that is important to know as well. It has to do with your level of energy. When you are very happy, when you are excited about life, usually it means that you are high on energy. Yes, one way of getting more energy into your existence has to do with focusing on what thrills you first, but another thing to do is also to realize that there are certain activities or directions in your life which are going to really drain your energy.
Systematically, when you engage into a certain line of action or certain type of behaviors or attitude, you are going to feel more tired after that than before. So if you want to stay high on an energy level, there are a few guidelines, a few rules, that you have to apply, so that you are happy, your body is happy, your being is happy, your energy level is happy, because you are precisely feeding that part of your being. So what is it?
Well, first, it has to do with moving your body, at least a little bit everyday. We are not talking about training hard in the gym, lifting weight, we are talking about simply moving your body, getting some fresh air into your system. Yes, if you are into sports, if you are into exercising, that's really great, that's also the way to go, but you have to do that consciously to a certain extent.
Another element is your diet, it is what you eat. There are certain foods which are going to tend to put your energy into a depressed state really, bring you down in terms of energy level. So if you eat more raw fruit, vegetables, these kind of stuff usually is going to raise your level of energy.
So these are some tips. Remember, energy level, boost it, and also focus on what thrills you first. Okay, take care, and have a great day, bye, bye.
