Ice Hockey Side Stop

I see lots of Warner hockey players having problem stopping especially on one particular side whether it will be on the left side or the right side. Remember side stops is a side motion stop, not a snowplow. We want to get away from snowplow stopping.

Doing a side stop consist of using strong knee bend, you got to really push your way downwards towards the ice to generate that scraping stopping motion. Edges, you need an outside edge and an inside edge. Also, your body weight needs to be leaning in the opposite direction of where you are stopping. Again—
