Hi and welcome to a fishing knot instruction video from videofishingknots.com. In this video, I will show you how to tie the improved clinch knot. It is a variation of a normal clinch knot with a little improvement at the final step and what you do is that you put the line free out of the hook and then you twist and wrap the line around the in-take around the standing part, five times—that was one, two, three, four and five times. Like that and then by the eyelet of the hook, you will have a little loop and you can take the in-take and you put it through that loop like that and grab it and there, if you just pull the knot tight there, you can do that by pulling the tag end and the standing pipe, but you want to is a little improvement, so you can see you get this loop here where my index finger is and you take the tack end and you put it through that loop, so the tag end goes through that second loop like that. And there you can pull the standing part and the tag end and that should tie a nice and strong improved clinch knot and if you just pull it and hold it a little bit and pull, the standing part, you get a nice knot! And that is how you tie an improved clinch knot, all you need to do now is to trim the tag end and you are done!
