Emily Hebert: Hi I’m Emily Hebert Elle.com’s Associate Video Editor and right now I’m at ION Studio. We’re going to check out the hair cast between designer and Timo Weiland and hair stylist Leonardo Manetti come on let’s go.
So today we’re here with Leo Manetti. So tell me, what are you going to do with her hair today?
Leonardo: The inspiration of the collection is kind of like Edwardian so we’re not going literal like Edwardian but we’re going to like try to create some texture that is not to Polish and not Finnish and put some waves in there then try to keep the 00:53 Matt Finishing so now she need to the hair. And keep a little bit of volume and a little bit of movement into the hair.
Back then everyone was kind I guess of taking baths and showers. I don’t know if you know a little bit about history but the thought actually was it will ruin skin so you know they wear along wigs and they had a lot of powders and so there will be a Matt finishing and something like that, that’s why we’re not going on the shiny kind of gorgeous glamour sort of hair. I would just keep a little more on to that.
And normally all the woman have a really extremely long hair then and then when it was all brush out of course being in little curls and stuff like that then we’ll have and create a little built wig that’s what the look should be. We’re going to see what the boys think about it and we feel good then it will be the look for their presentation.
Emily Hebert: Hair cut is all done, are you guys happy with it?
Timo Weiland: Oh yeah it’s going to be really, really perfectly complimentary to the clothes to the look and the feel that we’re trying to achieve and that we have really known the whole time like creating kind of a world there’s elements of fantasy, there’s elements of dress up and kind of we visiting other times but its also very modern and sexy and you know it’s really, he did a phenomenal job.
Alan Eckstein: A phenemonal job it’s really. It was done so well, it’s beautiful.
Timo Weiland: There’s a lot of Edwardian England in there with a very modern reinterpretation of it. Very clean lines of times of volume and places pleading you know lost of texture and mixing.
Alan Eckstein: It kind of came up with that term is where the Edwardian so they capture exactly what we were doing.
Timo Weiland: With the period modern look as well. I’m Timo Weiland.
Alan Eckstein: And I’m Alan Eckstein.
Timo Weiland: And your watching Elle.com.
