A month ago, this particular house behind me, it had a horrible house fire. It caused about $300,000 worth of damage and you know what the preliminary cause is? It was an electrical short and guess what, the whole fire could have been prevented if the homeowners had one of this very nice new electrical circuit breakers installed in their electrical panel. You can retrofit many, many houses. Look in the yellow pages. Open up to electrical supplies, call the different companies that sell electrical panels and breakers and see if they have arch fault circuit interrupters that will fit in your current panel.
As you can see the person lives in this home may need 10 breakers to go ahead and switch over that may cost between $250 to $500.00. It is a wise investment. Would you rather spent tens of thousands a dollars, hundreds of thousands or lose a life? You bet these are important. Get some arch fault circuit interrupters and get a professional to put them in.
