Instant Update: Work Chic

Giovanna Galeotafiore: I'm Giovanna Galeotafiore, Woman's Day's Fashion Editor and this is Instant Update. I am here to give one lucky woman a style update which is a few great accessories. We're here with Mary and she is ready for an Instant Update. Mary, what kind of things you want to change about your wardrobe? Mary: Well, I think I need some help toning down a little bit. I want something that I can bring into work and wear into work and still feel like myself, but feel a little more on the business side of things. Giovanna Galeotafiore: I think we can help Mary out. Let's go take a look. Oh! This bag is great. So you have your metallic, but it's got that new shape, that's actually type structured - Mary: And it's not too shinny which is what I was afraid of, but yeah, I like it. Giovanna Galeotafiore: That's a little bit more of a matt gold then -- Mary: Yeah. Giovanna Galeotafiore: Let's see how that looks. We are going to do accessories. Belts; belt is just like the easiest way to jazz up something or tone something down, but I think for you, we are going with a sleek look. You could do a great kind of snakeskin cinch waist belt. Well, I think animal prints are really classic. You can wear it with the black jacket or white jacket. You could dress up with red. You know, if you wear color, you can still kind of throw it together. Okay, it's time for shoes. Mary: Well, shoes always find me most help with. Giovanna Galeotafiore: Okay, I know exactly what we need to do. Snakeskin pump, really classic, casual, comfortable; these are always great. They come in an assortment of colors, so you can kind of get a little funky, or you can keep it a little bit more classic. You look great how do you feel? Mary: I feel great. I feel like a new woman. Giovanna Galeotafiore: I think this is so perfect for you. This whole monochromatic thing we have working. I think is really sleek, is really sexy. Just kind of throw a blazer over a pair of great jeans, and we have add a little bit of pattern here for the belts, paired it with the pair of snakeskin pumps which I think are fabulous and then we took the metallic which I thought was definitely the best choice.
