Digital voice recorders are great devices they record audio and they built in digital memory instead of tapes. A digital voice recorder allows you to store up to 60 hours of audio. Most digital voice recorders run off of one or two triple A batteries and can record up to 20 hours of audio on one charge.
These new voice recorders have no moving parts making them more ragged and reliable. Let us begin our brief digital voice recorder tutorial. Most of these devices work the exact the same way. So, if you know one you will know them all.
To start recording, Press the red record button. A red light will show that you are recording. To set an index mark, press the index button. Now, you will be able to skip that part of the recording at any moment. To stop the recording, press stop.
To play the recording, press the play button in the center. Press the right side of the cursor to skip to your index mark. You can also adjust the volume by pressing up and down on the cursor. Then press stop.
Now, to erase the recording, press the erase button and then you hit the right side of the cursor to erase. Then press OK to confirm you want to erase it. Every time you stop recording and start recording again, it will create a new file.
You can see a change from file four to file five. After stopping the recording, you can go back to other files by pressing left or right on the cursor. If I want to play file three, press play. Now, it will play the third recording that you have made.
To store audio into separate folders on the device, you can press the folder button to select between folders A, B, C, D and E. that allows you to easily separate your audio into sections to keep you organized.
There are many options in the menu just press and hold the menu button and new options will appear on the screen. Select Ok on record mode and you can choose between high qualities, standard play, or long play mode.
Select OK and press the right side of the cursor to go to microphone sensitivity. You can choose between high or low sensitivity for different situations. Most voice recorders will allow you to attach a set of earphones and an external microphone for even better audio quality. After recording an audio, you just attach the device via USB port and download the audio to your computer. You erase the audio files off the device and you start again.
