What’s up guys? It’s Aaron. The next song we’re going to learn is Irreplaceable by Beyonce. I had a lot of request for a long time.
Your key goes on the third fret and is surely very simple. It’s just for the intro and for the chords, it’s just four chords. It’s a G, it’s a D, it’s an A minor, to a C, so G, D, A minor, C. All right, the strum pattern I want to have you guys to use is [Demonstration].
It’s just down, down, down-up, up-down, up-down, down-up, switch to your D, down, down-up, up-down, up-down, down-up, and A minor, down, down, down-up, up-down, up-down, down-up, finish with your C, down, down, down-up, up-down, up-down, down-up. You just repeat that.
So the intro, “to the left, to the left three times and everything you own in the box to the left”—and that is how the verse goes. It’s just that simple strum pattern and have the chorus go. The only thing it’s a little different is the section, the pre-chorus right before the course, “standing in the front yard telling me how I’m such a fool talking about how I’ll never ever find a man like you, you got me twisted.” And that is the same strum pattern except for at the very end, there’s going to be E minor. It’s going to be shortened. So I’ll take you to the pre-chorus. It starts with C, “standing on the front porch telling me,” the same strum pattern. “How I’m such a fool, talking about” C, “How I’ll never ever find a man like you,” so that is starting from the beginning, “standing in the front yard telling me,” the same strum patterns as the intro Em7, “I’m such a fool talking about” C, down, down-up, down-up, down-up, E minor, down, down-up, up to a D and play it down, down-up, up, “you got me twisted.” So C, same strum as for Em7, “I’m such a fool, telling about how I’ll never ever find a man like you,” and then the chords is the same, the verse is the same. Again, the only thing different now is the bridge and that is C.
[Demonstration]
So the Bridge is C. So since I’m not your everything” [Demonstration] do this to down, down to up, up-down, up-down, down-up, just like before so it goes to D down, down, down-up, up-down, up-down, down-up. How about “I’ll be nothing, nothing at all to you?” You can either play a G the whole through. How about “I’ll be nothing, nothing at all to you” or you can play like down, down, down-up or you can play down, down, down, and then on your up, up-down, up-down, up, and you can sort of playing it on the third fret and slowly take that off and put your thumb here come over to second fret. And that actually goes more like what it sounds like because of the G/F#. So, “nothing at all to you, baby I won’t shed a tear for you, I won’t lose a wink for sleep. ‘Cause the truth of the matter is replacing you is so easy.”
So, the D and the E minor, “baby I won’t shed a tear for you” is just like a—you just do a down-down, up-up. Baby [Demonstration] go to C, down, up-down, up-down, and a D and an A minor down, up-down, up.
So next, kind of I will listen to the—I’m going to play the song in my head. I’m not singing it because it’s too high but I’ll just strum through the bridge, so since I’m not your everything—start with the C.
[Demonstration]
And for D, for two measures using the same strum patterns as the beginning, so just listen to the song, work out your own strum patterns if you don’t like mine. It’s stuff to strum along. I haven’t heard the song in a while but all right, hope it helps you.
