Dan actually need question from Maddie by a little listener. This is actually. This is not a question that came in the SS Dave thing, it was a comment that I want to respond to. What is your take on Adsense or readers blogging ti this ad at this point that this is where it started and then I'm going back with blurring design in the content bla, bla, bla.
So what is my take on Adsense? Obviously, Adsense is a kind of everybody where defaults on it when it first starts in making money with their blog and there’s nothing wrong with that. Adsense actually work shop very well and considering that they have a very wide open. I don’t think they got a minimum traffic requirement or anything like that.
Everybody, anybody could sign up for Adsense and as long as they abide by the terms with regard to how many ads they have on their side, etcetera. You’re going to make a little bit of money but the thing is I'm putting for seize on our little bit of money. You can do well of Adsense. However, if your site is not generating that much traffic, you’re not going to make anymore than maybe a few times a day with Adsense. It’s just reality so you know as far as our readers’ blogging this up at this point, this promise some of that yes because the thing in that sense is used almost everywhere so basically, the trick is not in the rule of trick. It’s just in common sense and that is if you want people to click on your Adsense ad, it’s then obviously if they click on and then you make more money. You want your ads do not let me placed in the eye path of where people’s eyes usually go on your site but you also want to make the ads look like their part of you web site rather than ad.
In the past, I've actually had very good look by immigrating I think it’s the, I forgot the exact dimension of this was square ad and put that right into the content right the top left at the top of my board post and then make the link color match what is default as your link color on your site. And basically, the idea is that you make it look like this relevant winks to something relevant to your article. In which case, I've probably also go into be relevant because it Adsense. That’s how it works.
So that’s how you get the most bangs out of it.
In general, though, especially as you start to make more money with your blog, you’re going to find that you use Adsense as filler because you’re always going to be having and to make more money by directly sawing your ads. But Adsense you know I've heard Bryan Clark will be over copy blogger refer to Adsense as giving welfare or that sort blogger welfare and it’s a kindly true. That makes space if you want to do and you don’t have any other options and yes you can make some money but I wouldn’t sit there and rely on it.
I would recommend that you get involve in some of your own information products perhaps starting up a membership site or something that you can generate revenue in house if you want to go the advertising wealth. See what you can do to attract direct advertising but Adsense again, it’s a good feedback and that’s kind of merge things. I use still Adsense today but I have a number on the things happening and make me much more money than google.
So anyway, that’s my fault on Adsense and I will see you guys whether.
