Male 1: What would you be looking for in a six-month-old, saying, “Oh, this is a normal six month old or we got a little bit of the flag.”
Male 2: So, for six months old, they are really starting to interact more. They are starting to respond and repeat with what the mother is doing. You can start teaching them how to like make blow babbles and just make noises. They start talking more. They start—at this age you should—not all babies but they will start babbling because you include babbling and they start adding some coincidence in there and then they start doing the “Baba” or “Dada”. It doesn’t have to be necessarily referred to ‘it’s a father’ or it’s someone. But they’ll start making more noises.
And they should start sitting up, that they are having a better control of their body and what we called the gross motor. Not every child can fully sit independently at this age but they should start getting there and with a little bit of support. And they basically learned to by what is called tripod and they put their arms in front, they put them on the sides. And these are things that babies can do and start learning how to sit up.
Male 1: Yes, up to now, we do not think kids aversely the whole first year on their back. Now, at this side and that is his stomach. A lot of babies at this age they even like being held in a standing position and bearing weight on their legs and they should be able to do that.
