Is a Company Health Insurance the Most Affordable Plan

Male: If an employee is offered health insurance from their company, will it always be the most affordable plan they can find?
Bob: You know, many employees they get offered their health insurance benefits package from their employer and they really think it’s a take it or leave it scenario. They don’t realize they actually have the choice of going out getting their own coverage if they so desire. And so if your employer offers you a plan, you certainly should evaluate that plan, but if it’s tremendously expensive and you don’t feel that you can afford it, you may wanna look on your own. And again, the internet is a great place to do that. Because you may find that you can cover yourself and your family for a lot less than what the employer is offering you. So, you know, when it comes to employer sponsored coverage, it is not the only option you’ve got. If it feels like it’s too expensive, it probably is, and you should go shopping and see if you can do better than your employer has done for you.
