Male1: Today, we read the daily news we called each other, we could not believe what we read. World war three? No. something about the presidential campaign? No. people losing their homes? The economy? What was the headlines and daily news today?
Male2: The headline today was about Britney Spears?
Male1: Was it something good or bad?
Male2: Well, it was about her spiraling down help that she needs and the intervention of Dr. Phil.
Male1: Wait a minute. Dr. Phil to the rescue?
Male2: Dr. Phil to the rescue.
Male1: You and I have a little discussion, if you are in a very bad spiral down, the worst thing you could do is have a public exposure of your problems, stupidity than a myth though and the world has to see it. Must be very tough in her is it not?
Male2: Sure, she does not want to make this into a circus. She has been hurt by having her children taken away from her. She wants to turn around and then make an entertainment scene about this, I do not think so.
Male1: How embarrassing to anybody, especially to your mother, a public way have the kids removed from her and then they are taken from her not by the father but two total strangers.
Male2: The bodyguards, the father’s bodyguards pick the children up, very impersonal.
Male1: I only could have seen that much, it has been a crying, scared.
Male2: Foster cheating.
Male1: We both agree on one thing after seeing that. If she has a problem, the first step, at thought they are going to complicate more. What is that first step?
Male2: The first step is knowing you have a problem then understanding what the problem is.
Male1: And the last person you would go to is someone to put it on the TV.
Male2: Public media per se, I do not think.
Male1: And if you had a member of your family, torn like this, knowing you. You would reach out to them, you try to help them. The last thing you would try to do is prof for them, is that true.
Male2: True, I would look for a professionally trained person.
Male1: A program.
Male2: Who did not have his best intention at heart.
Male1: Or hers.
Male2: Or hers. But is trained to help and to help as he was trained to do.
Male1: In other words, if she could omit and then make me tough, I get a problem probably with alcohol, it is probably with drugs. Should probably at this point is destroyed emotionally. Should probably need extensive hospitalization. I think that if she could put her house in order, seek help, she probably would get her kids back.
Male2: In the future perhaps. Slowly at first. Extended visits, visits are coming more often. But normally the courts do not take children away from their biological mothers.
Male1: It is really extreme is it not?
Male2: Yes.
Male1: so it means there is a lot more behind us that we do not fully understand.
Male2: Right, we do not know, we have not heard much about Britney’s ex, we do not know if the situation is getting even situation. We do not know if it is because of money. All we know is what we read. This is what is happening. And if the media was presenting tainted information to us. Shame on them.
Male1: Since Dr. Phil gives everybody the world good advice, we have one for him, and is probably make more sense. If a point comes down the road, if she seeks help. She resurrects her life. She becomes the mother of the kids that the court would appreciate, the parents would appreciate and she would appreciate, and she now is a great example as bad as it looks, maybe there is hope if you admit you have a problem and get help, that would be the show or Dr. Phil should be involve with not the show of the demise of a young lady who just lost her two kids.
Male2: True. And another thing putting pressure on her is her younger sister’s pregnancy.
Male1: This could not be a good point. It is a bad point. And also most people think what kind of parenting skill were thought to her, her parents have not demonstrated great parenting skills.
Male2: I am sure that even though her sister’s situation is a separate incident, people will view them together in the same way. And really, it should not be that way.
Male1: Most courts will try in the end to put a family together, not destroy a family. So they probably had no choice in the matter. And we do not know how good the father is.
Male2: This is true.
Male1: I hope, if the daily news needs circulation enhanced, do it in some other location.
Male2: I also hope if that Britney’s problems do get resolved professionally probably completely. I hope that she and then Dr. Phil can team up and offer their help together to somebody who needs it.
Male1: But the last place I think I would go right now if a person who wants to get his rating of this TV show pumped up. Maybe it was mean by a member of the family. Maybe he even let them with honorable intention.
Male2: True.
Male1: But if you look back from a distance. Have this add to a problem, a media ego person involved in a situation and who is to gain for this? He is, rating is the game.
Male2: that is right.
Male1: He is on the news. People kind of watch him, feel proud and makes some comment about it and as far as I know, I could be wrong. In life, it is not how much money you make, it is what you do in a daily basis. So if you were to become a positive from a negative, people forgive, people overlook and maybe the songs of the future she could do. Let us say, what I went through, how bad it was, there is hope for this world and maybe hope for the world. Is that true.
Male2: Yes it is true. May I have a question? What happens to doctor patient confidentiality when it goes on air on TV?
Male1: Well, he stops the therapist. He is the media therapist. So it tells you a little bit about his thinking.
Male2: Again, ratings.
