Chris: Hello everyone, this is Chris with watchmojo.com. Now, I am really lucky to be here at a beer tasting festival, and I’m joined with?
Tony: Tony Phillip from L street news
Chris: So what are you here tasting right now?
Tony: The accent on this event is Italian beer, so specially imported, so we’re starting with a beer that’s also fermented with tea leaves. Now, apparently the story goes, that there’s a chef in Rome, he wanted to come up with a beer and he worked for the brewery that would be good to pair with raw seafood or marinated seafood. So the suggested pairing here is marinated salmon. We have here the Perifico, which means very real in Italian. A Piccolo, piccolo means tiny and is a very small brewery, this is a, it’s a, very emblematic of the Italian breweries, they kind of have to do something out of the ordinary to get noticed to that the wine culture that they have.
Chris: What do you found they’ve done to sort of stand out amongst the crowd?
Tony: This one brewery here decides to use absinthe, warmer turf in there beer, which adds 0:00:59.6, you know people like, oh absence; you know they kind of know best funky stuff right, yeah.
Chris: This is really a cultural attachment to the mystique behind absence.
Tony: The mystique exactly.
Chris: Right, are you at the era of experimentation present in this, as well as may be a, small beers.
Tony: Very much so, I mean I’m used to that and in the States new brew is there, have done a lot of experimentation, and US the same like they’re kind of making stronger beers and hoppier beers. Italy is the same doing malt with a herbs and spices.
Chris: We can’t thank you enough for really, really, you know gracing us with your knowledge, and again this is Chris with watchmojo.com and I will see you guys in the flip side.
