Kimberly Turner: Hi! I'm Kim Turner with Fashion Cents and I'm here on the streets of Chicago just checking out what the fashionable people in the city are wearing, and today's topic is jean jackets and jean. On two separate occasions I've been with some people who have had on jean jackets and jean. They are not a suit. But don't just take my advice. Here's what the fashionable people in the city are saying.
Hey! We've just grabbed Sean and we love his look and you can clearly see Sean's now doing the jean jacket and the jean. So Sean, tell us a little bit about your look that you pulled together today?
Sean: Well! Just the blazer with the jeans and that was a kind of in between formal and casual. So I came with dressed but not too dressed.
Kimberly Turner: Right, and do you agree that a jean jacket and jeans don't go together, it's not a suit?
Sean: I would agree.
Kimberly Turner: Okay! So we are here with Shannon now and we loved Shannon's look and Shannon again brings with us that jean jacket and jeans don't go together, right?
Shannon: I agree with that.
Kimberly Turner: So she has dressed for spring and she sets a transition into the new wardrobe. We love her jacket and her dark jeans and the shirt that's peeping out a bit. So you're here from Tampa, just stopping with us today?
Shannon: Yes, exactly.
Kimberly Turner: Okay! And you get a lot of good fashion ideas here in Chicago?
Shannon: I do.
Kimberly Turner: So now we are talking to Arline, and Arline is fashionable, pulled altogether and we'd love her look, and Arline you are from Chicago?
Arline: Yes!
Kimberly Turner: Great! And we've finally got somebody from Chicago because we've been talking to a lot of people from New York and Tampa, but we haven't found anybody from Chicago.
So tell us a little bit about what you think about people who wear jeans and jean jackets together?
Arline: It's outdated, may be like late 90's it was time to wear, but it's very outdated. I think you should never do that.
Kimberly Turner: Yup!
Arline: It's a piece; denim is always a nice piece just to wear. You have nice jeans or a nice jacket and you match them up separately, not together.
Kimberly Turner: So we are wrapping up here in the windy city, and yes, it is windy that's what my hair has been all over my head. But hey, I want to be friend, so add me to your friend list on Facebook and upload me your photos of your fashion worlds or your fashion triumphs on my Flickr page. We'd love to see what actually you've been doing. Makes sense?
