Jeanine Mason Teaches The Docs the Disco Shuffle
Jeanine Mason: Hi!
Travis Stork: You actually showed this man how to dance.
Jeanine Mason: I did and it did not take long at all.
James Sears: Yeah! It’s was really fun.
Jeanine Mason: It was.
James Sears: And you know, it was a great work. Can I take this off?
Travis Stork: How about that? That was great!
James Sears: Fine!
Jeanine Mason: You’re worth it!
Travis Stork: So, how are you feeling?
James Sears: I am feeling so energized. My dad, he actually took up dancing
several years ago and that’s one of the reasons I think he is so
young.
Travis Stork: It is cool that your dad gave you his outfit, the one he used to
dance.
James Sears: Yes! I borrowed it.
Jeanine Mason: That’s great.
James Sears: But Jeanine, she is an amazing teacher. You are awesome.
Travis Stork: You guys look like you had a lot of fun.
James Sears: Yeah!
Jeanine Mason: We did.
Travis Stork: So, what I’ve learned from watching that is you know, I’ve seen
James do the worm before.
Jeanine Mason: Yes!
Travis Stork: I’ve never seen him dance. Anyone can learn the dance—right?
Jeanine Mason: Definitely! The disco in particulars is such a cardio workout. I
mean this is a 45 second routine and we are so out of breath a little
bit.
James Sears: Right. Yeah.
Jeanine Mason: But you know you burn up to 400 calories in an hour doing disco.
So, it’s a great way to just change your body completely. So, work
on strength, endurance, flexibility, everything and really just
having a great time.
Travis Stork: But can anyone do it?
James Sears: Anybody can do it.
Jeanine Mason: Oh, anyone!
James Sears: And you know it is not only good for the body but it is good for the
brain. It is a mental workout trying to remember the different
moves and all that kind of stuff. And just trying something new is
actually a great anti-aging tool.
Travis Stork: I think we should all try.
Jeanine Mason: Yeah!
James Sears: Yeah!
Travis Stork: So, James, you already know the moves but us neophytes, we need
to learn some skills.
Jeanine Mason: All right, we are going to do the Disco Shuffle. So, it is actually a
move that James and I did in our routine. So, you’re going to start
footwork first. You’re going to step with your right foot and then
you’re going to step together. You do it again. Step with the right
foot, step together and now, we’re going to reverse. We’ll be doing
the other side. Step the left foot, together, left foot, together. Now,
we’re going to add the arms. You can show them the arms. Ready?
The rolling arms and then you’re going to go into wash the hair.
Okay?
So, I’ll try it with the footwork, ready? Step, together, step
together, wash the hair, wash the hair and you did it!
James Sears: Yeah!
Jeanine Mason: That’s the Disco Shuffle.
Travis Stork: Well, Jeanine, thank you so much.
Jeanine Mason: Thank you!
Travis Stork: James, once again a great job my friend.
