Hey guys it’s Ren from makeup by Ren-Ren and today I have another celebrity tutorial for you. If you want to see this look, my Jennifer Hudson tutorial stay tuned for more.
Okay guys, so I was watching the Grammys the other night, and I saw Jennifer Hudson and─ I’ve always thought she’s really gorgeous and a real inspiration to everybody but her make was of the chain and I want duplicate it for you guys. I've actually gotten a couple of Jennifer Hudson celebrity tutorial request so were going to do this, silver, smokey-eye with like a nude lips with a peach glow. So if your interested check out my tutorial.
Okay first I am going to begin by applying my base, which is pure white mainly just in the lid and then blend it up to kind of give me a pop color later on. Go ahead and a apply a neutral cream eye shadow, I’m using Llama and I’m applying it just to my highlight area and I’m taking the cheap fluffy eyeshadow brush I think this is—tools and applying texture eyeshadow to my crease, make sure it’s extremely blended out this would help to blend this milky color later.
And I’m using platinum pigment form MAC, and I’m actually using one of those, sponge tip applicant brushes which is actually really great for applying pigment because it helps get the color on there without fallout, and then completing the eye with a smokey black. This is from the danger zone trail and I’m just going to use my 217 brush to focus the black just in the outer V-shape and continue to blend in circular motion that way you can get the color adjust in that area and you can continue to build it up to your desired smokiness.
Once you are done, go ahead and clean up with the Q-tip, to kind of clean up the shape and make sure everything is nice and neat and then I am going to go back with textures and kind of soften up the smokey look with the brown and the crease which is really─ brown goes really well with smokey looks.
Now I’m going to take Llama and blend that in the tear duct areas so that way you can have seamless transition of the eyeshadows, and then I’m going to take Bobbi Brown’s eyeliner and black brush and bring out my liner. I'm actually wearing a liquid liner so you need to get some more but we’ll use this for the mean time, create a dramatic wing look which your going to actually wing out and they continue into the bottom. Don’t go into your wire line because were going to keep that area clean, instead, just kind of line the lower lash line up until your tear duct where you see that platinum pigment and then your lid open and the line between the pigment and the liner, and I’m doing that by taking that shadow brush again and just kind of blending them together.
Next curl you lashes because your going to─ go ahead and do my mascara falsies. I just used MAC’s number 8 lashes. Now that we’re done with the eyes, let’s move on the face. I’m using Bobbi Brown’s corrector in dark peach, which is like the perfect color for me to kind of erase those under eyes circles, and then were going to put foundation on top of using Meybeline satin finish foundation and number 42 mixed with an equal part of stroke cream to kind of give a really, really glowy look and I'm going to take my 109 brushing. I like to apply all over first, to ensure that I get an ever layer of foundation and then that’s when I go ahead and buff it in, and when you continue to buff it in, make sure you don’t miss the hairline and the neck, it gives you a really nice airbrushed look.
And then I’m going to set it off with MSF natural in medium dark to kind of tick with the stickiness. Now that my lashes are dry, I’m going to blend with my natural lashes using mascara and don’t forget to—the bottom lashes as well.
Next I’m going to contour because Jennifer Hudson actually a lot of contour and going on, if you want to see more, check my highlighting and contouring tutorial video I'm getting my cheek bones as well my nose as well as like the jaw and the temples and the forehead and just to kind to get me that sculpted look.
Okay guys so I just wanted to take a break and have a little chat with you all. I noticed that I’m getting more requests for hair tutorials and I need you help. What do you guys want to see? What kind of hair tutorials you want to see? We use suggestion in the comments fax and I’ll try to get to them and, that’s pretty much it. So back to our scheduled programming.
Okay now were going to move on to blushes with my new Fun and Games which is from the Hello Kitty collection from MAC, gives me just a warm, peachy glow to my skin. I didn’t think it was going to work on me but I really like it. It’s very subtle but nice, just using a blush brush and layer in on and I’m going to complete that with a little bit of a highlight using MAC’s MSF in blonde on to the cheek bones, a little bit on the chin as well as down the bridge on the nose and on the forehead to complete the glowiness of the selections. Jennifer Hudson always seems to have a glow.
Next we’re going to line our lips with the nude lip liner. This is Stripdown pencil from MAC, just to prepare your lips for the nude lip look that we’re going to use. And then after that I’m going to apply this lipstick from MAC which is like a tan nude color, and I’m just going to put it all over my lips and finish it off which─ this is actually like a peachy, pink lip gloss its called live and die and it just kind of gives you more than a typical nude lip look. So that’s the final look, I hope you guys enjoyed and don’t forget to subscribe and thanks for watching.
