I was just bring that mission straight to our studio, the young and talented
and very funny Jennifer Stone is here to talk about what it’s like on the
Red Carpet as he did in Hollywood good to have you here.
Jennifer Stone: Well thanks for having me.
Audra: You’re a lot of fun.
Jennifer: Shucks thank you.
Audra: 17 years old and in the business doing the grind and we were talking
earlier you said it seems like your years are going by fast.
Jennifer: Yeah. It seems that I started going out to Hollywood when I was 9 and I
look back and I’m like wasn’t that just yesterday? Now I’m almost 18.
Audra: But didn’t you start acting at 6?
Jennifer: I did started acting at 6. It’s been my whole life and I wouldn’t have it any
other way.
Audra: That’s great but if when you looked back to when your first auditions.
Were you nervous going into those auditions?
Jennifer: Oh no, I was so full of myself when I was a kid. I always – and they knock
me down a few pegs which I should have been but when I was a kid I was
like I’m the most fearful, I’m the most talented.
Audra: But you know what it works for you because looked what happened now
years later yours still doing your thing right?
Jennifer: It’s true my mom tells me some of the things I said when I was little and
I’m just like oh no. I’m so full of myself.
Audra: Well let’s talk about Wizards of Waverly place. I just found out that you
were renewed for 4th season.
Jennifer: Yeah.
Audra: Did you guy started doing it now?
Jennifer: Yes, we have we’re well into the 4th season and it’s rumored to be the last
one we don’t know. We don’t know. It’s up in the air.
Audra: You just never know. You just kind of take every single moment as it
comes right?
Jennifer: Enjoying each episode.
Audra: How is the behind the scenes are you friends with Selena Gomez are you
guys really close?
Jennifer: She’s one of my best friends and I know that everybody says that but I’m
happy say that I can honestly say that she really will be my bridesmaid at
my wedding like she is. She makes me a better person and it’s such a
blessing to be able to work with someone like that.
Audra: That’s good, especially when you’re working that long with people behind
the scenes.
Jennifer: No, it could have been easily been you know but it hasn’t been thank
goodness.
Audra: Yeah we were talking just a second ago about how early you started into
business and how long you’ve been doing it but if you were to give any
advise to young people who either want to follow in your foot steps or are
already kind of you know taking those first steps what would you say to
them?
Jennifer: Oh you got to join the theatre. That’s how I got started. I got started in
community theatre and I loved it like it was such. I met so many great
people that I’m still friends with today and I learned the basic that I still
use today. When I shoot wizards it’s just like shooting, it’s just like doing
theatre so yeah. Find a theatre.
Audra: -- you auditioned just like everybody else out there?
Jennifer: Yeah I worked with Disney, I’ve worked with Disney since I was 12 and
so they had me in mind doing its very true their good if they join you in
the family they keep you in there and their very trained to that aspect and
so yeah they cut me in mind and I was like you would have to sort of
come into the end.
Audra: What’s your best tip for auditioning?
Jennifer: For auditioning be very well prepared. For me that’s what makes me not
nervous. If I know I’ve done everything I can on homework wise that’s
when I’m like I’m good I don’t need to be nervous.
Audra: Interesting that’s good. Have you had any other cat fighting that drama?
You said you moved to L.A. you know I think its funny business?
Jennifer: The funny thing is that most the drama I had in my life is back in Texas go
figure. I guess it’s because there’s less to doing Texas that is a lot more
bored little girls. See I had the mean girls situation back in Texas.
Audra: Are you anything at all like your character with the fashion or getting into
trouble and looking for trouble?
Jennifer: I mean you have to pull from yourself with every character but for the
most part I’m not much like Harper but that’s what makes it so much fun.
Audra: See you look like you’re having a lot of fun over there?
Jennifer: Oh I have a great time.
Audra: And you’ve got the fun over here, having a better life you know?
Jennifer: Yeah, yeah.
Audra: Alright congratulations you got to come back.
Jennifer: Thank you so much. Thanks for having me I want to come back.
Audra: You can and make sure to watch Wizards of Waverly Place on the Disney
Channel Friday nights and also pick up a copy of the DVD Harriet the
Spy: Blog Wars.
