Job Hunting: How to Be a Buyer
Female: Are you patting the pavement looking for a new job? Do you need your future employer or does your future employer need you more? Coach Bob Wright explains as your boss who needs you. Surprised? Watch this video to learn more.
Wright: The primary thing to do whether you are looking for your first job or your last job is to find the good place to work. Too often people look at what they are going to do rather than where they are going to do it.
Is the environment you are going into one that respects human beings, develops human beings that is going to value who you are and what your contributions are, that is going to give you a form where you can become the most powerful, competent loving human being that you can be.
Those are the important questions not what are you going to do. Be a buyer not a seller. You are the one who has the money when you are buyer. When you are a seller, you are the one who make someone else’s his money.
When you are looking for a job you are the one who has the talent they need, they are the ones that need you. If you want to act like they are the ones that have the job that you need you put your self one down. You will work to please them rather than just see if they will please you.
Always focus on what will satisfy you and what will work for you. As a buyer, you will ask better questions, you will learn more about the companies that you are looking at and you will make a more informed, more effective choice and where you choose to work.
