Rebecca Brayton: This is internet celebrity burst onto the scene in 2009. Hi, I’m Rebecca Brayton and welcome to watchmojo.com and today we’re speaking with Justin Bieber about the internet and how he foresees his evolution as an artist.
Now you’re part of I guess, what they call the internet generation and obviously you’ve managed to work it work for you. How do you think that the internet can help you in the future?
Justin Bieber: Because I have so much many fans online now, it’s definitely going to help me be able to promote stuff like so easily. I can just put something I need to when it just blows up. The internet is not just Canadian, not just American. It’s worldwide. It’s such a great outlet to have international fans like I have in fans in Brazil, in Austria, and in little places I never heard of before.
Rebecca Brayton: Do you have any tips for making a really great YouTube video?
Justin Bieber: Well me, I don’t know how I just got this cover up or put up this crappiest video. If you’re a singer or whatever you just got to put it up I mean and just hope for the best. Definitely, you just have to tag the video right.
Rebecca Brayton: What kind of music was being played at your house when you were growing up? What did you like listening to?
Justin Bieber: I grew up listening to a lot of older stuff like Boyz II Men, Stevie Wonder, and Michael Jackson. I actually took a real heart over Michael Jackson’s past. He was an inspiration to so many people including Usher but his legend lives on. I just love his music along with just old soul music. It’s just awesome.
Rebecca Brayton: What is your favorite to sing?
Justin Bieber: Favorite song to sing? Probably, “You Got it Bad” by Usher. It’s pretty fun to sing.
Rebecca Brayton: And what’s your favorite song that isn’t RnB?
Justin Bieber: Probably like “Sweet Child of Mine” or something like that.
Rebecca Brayton: Now, I just want to clear the rumor.
Justin Bieber: Not that. I’m here. I’m breathing. I’m not a ghost. It was definitely a rumor saying I was dead that I killed myself but I’m here.
Rebecca Brayton: How do you react to a rumor like that?
Justin Bieber: There are so many stupid rumors that come out like so possibly Miley Cyrus was dead a month ago and so many other people. It’s just people don’t believe it unless you see it for yourself.
Rebecca Brayton: How do you see yourself evolving as an artist as you get older?
Justin Bieber: I mean I’m going to get taller, grow mustache and stuff. I actually just did a movie with Nick Cannon produce it. It’s called “School Girls” It’s going to be aired on Nickelodeon. I just look forward to acting and definitely those stuffs.
Rebecca Brayton: So are you one of those triple threats?
Justin Bieber: Yeah.
Rebecca Brayton: Thank you very much.
Justin Bieber: Thank you very much for having me.
