Hello, I am Gale Ginzburg. Spiritual Director of Esynagogue.org and this is Kabbalah for today, a practical guide to traditional Jewish Mysticism updated for you today.
This is the last or 12th installment of these series in which we have taken a look at traditional Jewish Mysticism using the image of the spherote or the tree of life to talk about our purpose in life, our relationship with God and the plan for how we are to move forward in our lives, how we grow in holiness and in relationship to God.
I guess this is -- I summarize the teachings of these series. Things I want to share with you are these.
1. Remember that you are good.
God created the universe in goodness and that includes you. However, each of us like the cosmos is in need of healing and wholeness, and so we are you might say works in progress. So, be patient with yourself and be patient with others.
Everyday, look at your life with joy and gladness, grateful for what you have and also grateful for the challenges that you have in life. Every moment is filled with opportunity to do good, to bring healing, to grow as a human being. So, we can be grateful in whatever circumstances we find ourselves for the opportunities that we are given for growth.
Does not mean that life is easy, life inevitably involves suffering. The question is what are you going to do with it? Are you going to be made better through this suffering or are you going to be broken?
Some of the most beautiful people I know are those who have suffered the most. Also, some of the most bitter angry people are those who have experienced great suffering. You have to decide for yourself how you are going to deal with what comes your way.
So, I encourage you to keep studying. If you are interested in learning more about Judaism in general, you can check out the Esynagogue.org website for an introduction to Judaism program. If you are interested in learning more about Kabbalah, this was a very brief introduction to a fascinating and huge field of study and practice, I will pose on my website at www.neshamah.org.
A list of books, my 40 favorite books on the topic and you can pick and choose from that.
If you are interested in personal work, individual work, you can certainly also contact me about that.
So, I encourage you to pray, to meditate, to spend the time outdoors and most of all give thanks to God for all the blessings of your life.
Peace be with you always and thanks for watching.
