We are here to talk about the essentials you will need for your next inflatable kayak adventure. First and foremost we have our inflatable kayak, this is going to give us the buoyancy that we need to get down the river. Second we have our pump that will help inflate your kayaks. It's got enough rigidity and buoyancy to make it down right side up. Most inflatable kayak paddle comes in two pieces, because they are longer than a whitewater paddle. Two pieces make it easier to store in your vehicle and get into the river and they fit together very simply.
The other important things to consider before ever entering the river is to wear a life jacket or PFD, that will help keep your right side up in the water, so you are nice and buoyant in case you fall off your kayak. Another piece of gear you definitely should have is whitewater helmet that's fitting well and snug to protect your head from any rocks you might hit. Other considerations are thermal-wears like neoprene wetsuits and footwear to protect your feet from rocks, or any other pieces in the river that might hurt your feet. For those of you not interesting in kayaking, riverboarding is a great option.
They are made of heavy duty neoprene. So they are super comfortable and very easy to get on to. They have two large grab handles for easy control. The bottoms of our riverboards are made up of soft vinyl, so very easy to carve back and forth on a wave. Some riverboards are very easy to inflate. There have little valves you can open up and inflate to your desired tension. The surfing is up your alley. If you don't want to take the time to learn the kayak, try riverboarding. We will get you on the river in the safe, fun environment, super fast.
Innertubes have come a long way. They are now reinforced to last an extra long time, They have easy to fill chambers. You can use it with the pumps, you don't have to do them with your mouth any more and they have nice floors to protect your bottoms from going over to the rocks out in the river. Innertubes now have a great grab handles, you can hold down to them while floating down any river adventure. So very important when you go Innertubing that you consider wearing a couple of things. A life jacket for buoyancy, helmet to protect your head, some thermalwear for you legs and some booties for your feet. Anyone can go innertubing. Just jump on in, hold on and enjoy the ride.
